INGREDIENTS
What you’ll need:
- 4 slices brioche or Any Homemade Artisanal Bread – Thick Slices
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup full cream milk
- 1 tbsp Willow Creek Extra Virgin Olive Oil Estate Blend (for the custard mix)
- 1 tbsp honey (for subtle sweetness)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
For Cooking:
For Topping:
- 1 cup strawberries, halved
- 1 tbsp honey
- ¼ cup crushed pecans or almonds
- Greek yogurt or mascarpone (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Prepare the French Toast Custard
- In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, olive oil, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Dip each slice of bread in the mixture, letting it soak for 10-15 seconds per side.
Step 2: Cook the French Toast
- Heat 1 tbsp of Willow Creek Estate Blend in a pan over medium heat.
- Cook each slice for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Add another drizzle of olive oil if needed for the second batch.
Step 3: Assemble & Serve
- Stack the French toast on a plate.
- Top with Sliced strawberries, crushed nuts, and a dollop of yogurt or mascarpone.
