How to avoid buying fake EVOO

EVOO is the highest grade of virgin oil derived by cold mechanical extraction without the use of solvents or refining methods. However, as with almost everything, there are sellers who exploit consumers by selling olive oil that has, for example, been diluted with a soybean or seed oil, or mixed with lower-grade oil. Olive oil adulteration has happened for centuries.
