Our young trees
Cuttings are propagated in hotbeds and monitored daily for diseases and pests. Young trees are available in 2-litre bags, weighing around 2 kg each, and planted in premium commercial potting mix topped with compost.
The olive cultivars on offer include Arbequina, Mission, Leccino, Frantoio, Picual, Leccino, Coratina, Koroneiki, Kalamata, Barnea, and Noccelara.
Mission trees are ideal for growing green or black table olives, and Coratina trees are a great choice for pressing top-quality olive oil.
From pip to produce
We only sell saplings that have a well-established root system in place. This allows for an almost 100% guaranteed chance of survival during replanting. Please give us a call to find out when we will have saplings available in the cultivar of your choice.
Olive trees require well-drained, well-aerated soil that has been prepared to a depth of at least 80 cm before planting. Willow Creek Olive Estate’s farm manager, Charl van Sittert, can offer invaluable advice to first-time buyers that need help growing trees bought at Willow Creek Olive Estate’s nursery.
