Let’s keep it real: You put your hair through the wringer nearly every day. To be honest, you should be thankful that it still wants to hang out with you!

It is time to give your hair the true TLC it deserves.

We are bombarded with tons of products on the shelves, all promising to solve your hair problems. We try all these products in the hope to transform our hair but it can leave our budgets tight.

The good news is, the best hair remedies can be found at home- in your kitchen actually.

Introducing the diverse, all in one wonder- Olive Oil.

  • Removes dandruff
  • Strengthens and moisturizes hair
  • Treat split ends
  • Hair growth

Let me explain how olive oil has all these benefits for your hair:

Dandruff is caused by a dry, flaky scalp. A lot of people struggle with dandruff and have spent tons of money on shelved products to help reduce their dandruff, but no luck.  Olive oil is the best oil for the scalp because it contains antioxidants to promote the health of your scalp and stronger hair roots. Did you know you can use lemon to help loosen dandruff and olive oil to moisturize the new, exfoliated layer of skin. Mix equal part lemon, olive oil, and water. Massage into damp scalp, leave for 20 min, rinse, and shampoo. This treatment should be alternated between weeks.

Olive oil is a great substitute for your conditioner with the bonus of being chemical-free. Olive oil aims to put moisture back into your hair and give you that shiny look. How does it work you ask? Olive oil is packed with vitamin A, E and antioxidants to help protect the keratin in your hair seal in moisture. The oil consists of monounsaturated fatty acids which help in strengthening the roots and the tips of the hair.

Have you experienced your hair pulling off when you brush or blow-dry? Olive oil increases the elasticity of hair- meaning your hair can remain strong and straight.

Remember an unhealthy scalp cannot support the growth of hair.

Having hair breakage, splitting and frizzy flyways cause your hair to look messy and unkempt. For hair to remain healthy and long, hair strands must be kept strong to avoid breakages. Olive oil strengthen individual hair strands to avoid hair splits. Use olive oil to get that smooth, problem-free hair look. Smooth a little olive oil on your fingers and run them through your hair after you have styled it to give your ends and flyways the kiss-off.

Healthy hair is a reflection of a healthy scalp and if you have been losing hair a while, it is obvious that your scalp is not getting the nutrition it requires.

Olive oil is a very good source of antioxidants to help promote scalp health. Olive Oil promotes a healthy scalp, fights fungi and assist in improving blood circulation of your scalp.

In essence, olive oil is not going to let your hair grow 5 cm overnight, olive oil is rather a natural care remedy to facilitate healthy hair and allowing it to grow naturally.

Massaging hair and scalp with olive oil improve blood flow to the hair follicles and the follicles are in turn stimulated to grow thicker strands of hair, thereby doubling hair growth.

How to apply: Warm 10 ml of olive oil in the microwave, be sure not to overheat it(you do not get a burn blister when touching the oil)

Part your hair in sections and apply the warm oil gently with your fingertips to the scalp. Continue this procedure for each section until your entire scalp is covered.

Take some remaining oil and gently smooth from the root to the tip to help prevent breakage and split ends.

Wrap a towel around your hair and leave for around 20 min.

When the time is up, wash your hair with shampoo.

This procedure can be repeated once or twice a week for great results.

Scientists do not consider olive oil a cleansing hair care ingredient or shampoo, they group oils as one of five conditioning agents that help decrease friction on hair, detangle the hair, and minimize frizz.

The best oil for your hair is Extra virgin olive oil because it is the highest quality and is chemical-free.

Olive Oil can be used on all hair types but dry, coarse hair will probably benefit more than thinner, dry hair. People with oily, fine hair may find that olive oil makes their hair fell greasy and weighty.

Instead of using products that have chemicals that cause problems to your scalp, why not enjoy the benefits of olive oil for hair health. – Keeping it natural is the best way to go.
